Deep Tissue Massage
Deep Tissue Massage is a massage that focuses on the deeper layers of muscle tissue by going across the fibres of the muscle, tendons and facia.
When muscles are stressed, they block oxygen and nutrients, leading to inflammation that builds up toxins in the muscle tissue. A deep tissue massage helps loosen muscle tissues, release toxins from muscles, and gets blood & oxygen circulating properly.
A variety of classic massage strokes are used in this therapy such as forearms, elbows, deep finger/thumb pressures, in a movement which at times can be slower and the pressure deeper to give muscular release.
This type of treatment may cause discomfort and some soreness during, and a little bruised and stiff after the massage, but after a day or two you should feel better than ever and feel much more mobile.
This treatment is especially effective on upper back, neck and shoulders and lower back problems.
The more frequent you have the treatment and closer together you have them, the more beneficial you will find them, because you are keeping on top of the problem rather than starting from beginning each time.
Regard this treatment like a MOT for your body....
